What’s life like when your doctor’s on Hello Health?
You think you have the flu
Good morning, Sunshine. Your throat is scratchy, your head is killing you, and you just don’t want to leave your bed. What do you do?
You log in to Hello Health and schedule an IM visit. During that chat, your doctor asks a bunch of questions and confirms that it’s a virus. She tells you there’s nothing to worry about just yet, to drink plenty of fluids and take Tylenol for the fever. Oh, and she’ll contact you tomorrow.
All better.

What if I have asthma?
You’ve had your asthma under control for years, but there’s the occasional flare up. As usual, it rears up right as your project goes into crunch time. You don’t have time for the doctor’s office, but you know that asthma is a serious issue. Should you tell your boss that you have to take the rest of the day off?
Fortunately you’re a member of Hello Health. You head over to our site and schedule a video visit for that afternoon. Your doctor knows you (and your asthma) well. He asks you to breathe into your peak flow meter and then IM him the results.
He finds that you’ve been better, but you’ve also been worse. He then calls in a prescription for steroids, which you pick up after work. Five days later, you’re all better.

What if I cut my finger?
Your attempt at cooking a nice Sunday brunch has ended not so nicely. When you wash up your thumb, you see that it’s not so bad. Do you need a tetanus shot? Stitches? What do you do? Head for the emergency room to spend a fortune and sit for hours?
Here’s what you do. You text your doctor and describe the problem. She asks you a few questions to better assess the damage and then tells you to make an appointment. So you take a look at the calendar in her online profile. Ah, you see there’s an appointment available first thing in the morning. Perfect. When you get to the office, your doctor has a look at your thumb and decides that you do need a tetanus shot, but not stitches. Phew!
All better.
