Integration of Backline Telehealth to Hello Health Services

In an effort to continuously provide medical professionals with the best tools to run their practice and provide quality care, Hello Health has partnered with Backline.

In doing so, Hello Health has integrated a powerful telehealth tool to its EHR, Practice Management and Patient Portal platform. Hello Health users can now provide virtual care to their patients and they automatically get a free telehealth license with their subscription.

Importance of Virtual Care

The coronavirus has left many patients without access to quality care. As countless providers did not have telehealth solutions in place before the pandemic, many have been scrambling to incorporate virtual care into their practice workflow. Without it, especially in a time of quarantine, doctors can’t see their patients.

Virtual care not only diminishes the risk for patients who are more susceptible to the effects of COVID-19, but it also increases access to care for patients in more rural areas. With over 2.2 million coronavirus cases in the U.S., practicing and receiving medical care from a distance has never been more important.

Two New Backline Telehealth Features

Backline allows medical professionals to securely contact their patients by chat or video visit. A powerful tool in itself, especially during this pandemic, Backline has also added two new features to its telehealth offering.

Exam Rooms

This feature shows users their connected patients. Seen as a type of waiting room, this allows a global view of connected patients and helps determine priority before the doctor ‘arrives.’ It also allows patients to connect in advance to troubleshoot any internet problems and enables nurses and other staff to meet with patients first when needed.

Group Telehealth Video

This feature allows users to conduct a virtual visit much like they physically would in the office. With group video, other parties can join the video visit including other providers, medical assistants, family members, translators, and more.

These new enhancements are available to patients directly within their mobile or desktop browser with no app to download. In Hello Health, providers can also take notes or prescribe medication directly in the patient’s file and share it with them after the visit through their patient portal.

Virtual care has become a necessity and utilizing the right tools makes it easy for everyone to stay connected and manage their health from a distance.
